12012 (イチニーゼロイチニ) Pertenece al estilo visual kei y permaneció durante el inicio, y los primeros años de su trayectoria como una banda indipendiente bajo el sello de UNDER CODE PRODUCTIONS. Actualmente el grupo está consagrado como grupo major bajo la producción de UNIVERSAL MUSIC. Los integrantes de la banda son :
*Wataru Miyawaki como vocalista (antiguo integrante de la banda Lubis Cadir, donde era conocido como Kyoya)
*Hiroaki Sakai en la guitarra (Anteriormente como Aki en LOUISA ; Acul en Cell*June y miembro de KiLLa )
*Yuusuke Suga en la guitarra (También antiguo integrande de Lubis Cadir como Yuusuke)
*Tomoyuki Enya en el bajo (anteriormente conocido como Tomo en sus días como integrante de Mist of Rouge)
*Tooru Kawauchi en la batería (Conocido como To-ru en DictAtor ; y previo integrante de Growth, De’sert y Nejire)
Cómo se formó 12012?
Como Wataru explicó, después de la ruptura de Lubis Cadir, quería formar una nueva banda, pero odiaba la idea de una banda que sólo se centrara en el cantante. Yuusuke estaría de acuerdo con el nuevo estilo que Wataru quisiera formar pero en esta ocación, como primer guitarrista quería a Hiroaki, y en la batería a Tooru. Wataru solía tocar con ellos en la secundaria y siempre había deseado tenerlos a ambos en una banda. El último en integrar la banda fue Tomoyuki. Después de la ruptura de Mist of rouge, él habría tenido varias ofertas para integrar otras bandas pero cuando visitó a los cuatro chicos en el estudio inmediatamente decidió unirse.
El nombre 12012 es pronunciado de la forma "ichi ni zero ichi ni," y hace referencia, en parte, al código penal californiano, que en su contenido hace alusión a los individuos que andan armados y que están prohibidos de poseer armas de fuego. Eventualmente, el grupo se hace llamar también Kyouki Shoji, el cual equivale en su significado con respecto a la portación peligrosa de armas.
El concepto de la banda en sus principios, es la locura dentro de un humano, pero después el concepto cambió notablemente junto con las emociones del vocalista.
Un dato interesante es que los integrantes de la banda no utilizan nickname (seudónimo), sino más bien, emplean sus nombres originales, algo poco común en este género. Ellos afirman que esto hace que suene más realista para sí mismos.
Como Wataru dijo en una entrevista, "12012" no es un juego de palabras para "ii Nioi" (= "buen olor"). El nombre fue sugerido por Gacchan y se trata del Código Penal de California y trata sobre las personas que eandan armados y la prohibición de la tenencia de un armas de fuego. Uno de los apodos de la banda entre los aficionados japoneses es 凶器 所持 [Kyouki shoji], el equivalente japonés de este término jurídico. Wataru ama la coincidencia de que 凶器 = "arma" tiene la misma lectura, "Kyouki", como 狂 気 = "locura".
12012 ve la luz de día el 1 de Mayo de 2003, gracias al sello UnderCode.
Su primera presentación en vivo fue en Osaka, durante un evento organizado por UnderCode.
Su primer maxi-single, "Depression Sign" fue lanzado el 28 de Julio de 2003. Eventualmente obtienen popularidad y lanzan dos maxi-singles más: "Shudder" y "Incresingly. Los cuales más tarde se volvieron bastante solicitados.
Disfrutando de su éxito, 12012 tiene su primera gira one-man, la que se extendió por más de nueve fechas entre Mayo y Junio, antes de regresar al sitio del concierto final. Su apariencia se oscurese y oscurese mientras comienzan a lucir sus impresionantes atuendos blancos y negros creados por ID-JAPAN.

Para para principios del año 2006, aproximadamente, la banda tomó un giro en su estilo musical, correspondiendo a un rock altenativo más tranquilo al que solían tocar antiguamente.
El 13 de Junio de 2007, 12012 lanzó un single en tres versiones de la canción "Cyclone" que fue utilizado como opening del animé "Romeo x Julieta"
Un mes más tarde, ese mismo año, la banda realizó un tour que incluyó una parada en New York, Estados Unidos en donde tocaron para la Convención de animé "Anime next".
En Mayo de 2008 cumplieron su 5to aniversario, realizando un concierto especial en Arashi. Posteriormente lanzaron un DVD de dicho concierto el cual de llamó "5th Anniversary Special Live"
Tendremos que ver qué nos depara esta banda en los años futuros.

How 12012 was formed?
As Wataru explained, after the breakup of Lubis Cadir he wanted to form a new band, but he hated the thought of a band that only focuses on the singer. He didn't want to ask anybody because he hates to be refused, so instead he was waiting for the people to ask him. Hiroaki was one of the guys he had in mind, and due to some miracle Aki on his own initiative asked Wataru to join a new band with him. Yuusuke wanted to have a new band with Tooru, but they couldn't find a singer, so they asked Wataru. At first Wataru didn't want to be with Yuusuke in a band again, but he agreed because his style fit the new band's concept. Finally Tomo got invited, but he refused them because he wanted some peace before joining any new band, and he also had invitations from other bands. But when he visited the four guys in the studio and jammed with them, he immediately decided to join. After Lubis Cadir broke up, Wataru actually wanted to stop singing completely if he can't find the right band members, so I think he was (and we are) very lucky!12012 - The name is pronounced as "ichi ni zero ichi ni", and it refers to California’s penal code, which refers to the possession of illegal firearms. Eventually, the group also calls itself Kyouki Shoji, which is equivalent in meaning which is a translation of that offence.
The concept of the band is madness inside a human, but then the concept changed dramatically along with the emotions of the vocalist.
An interesting fact is that the band members do not use a nickname (pseudonym), but rather use their original names, something rare in this genre. They say this makes it sound more realistic for them.
As Wataru said in an interview, "12012" is not a pun for "ii nioi" (= "good smell"). The name was suggested by Gacchan: it comes from the LA/California penal code, and stands for a person "armed and prohibited from possessing a firearm". One of the band's nicknames among Japanese fans is 凶器所持 [kyouki shoji], the Japanese equivalent for this legal term. Wataru loves the coincidence that 凶器="weapon" has the same reading, "kyouki", as 狂気="madness".
12012 sees the light on the day on May 1, 2003, thanks to the seal UnderCode.
Their first live performance was in Osaka, during an event organized by UnderCode.
Their first single, "Depression Sign" was released on July 23, 2003. They gained popularity and eventually released two singles, "Shudder" and "Increasingly”, which later became quite popular.
Enjoying their success, 12012 had its first one-man tour, which lasted more than nine times between May and June, before returning to the site of their final concert. They began to look stunning in black and white outfits created by ID-JAPAN.
Three other mini-albums were out all at once, and the band organized a 6-date tour called "Guilty of Six Days" where every show was led by members of 12012, other than the date 6, which was addressed by all bands, such as Duel Jewel, Panic Channel, Moll'e Node, Devise in Despair, among others were also presented.
In February 2005, they had a one-man show which was subsequently edited for a DVD, it was released two months later under the name "CROM”. Later, the label re-edited its first release complete with a bonus DVD which contained live clips and PVs.
That year, in September a DVD called "Macrograph" was released in a live performed in Shibuya.
Around early 2006, the band took a turn in their music style, corresponding to a calmer Altena rock that used to play anciently.
On June 13, 2007, 12012 released a single in three versions of the song "Cyclone" which was used as the opening theme of the anime "Romeo X Juliet”.
A month later, that same year the band performed a tour that included a stop in New York, United States where they played for the anime convention "next Anime."
On May 2008, they completed their 5th anniversary, performing a special concert in Arashi. Later they released a DVD of that concert which was called "5th Anniversary Special Live"
We'll have to see what lies ahead of this band in the coming years.
